Ghent Marriott Hotel is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Demi Chef de Partie to strengthen the kitchen team across all our F&B outlets. You’ll help create culinary experiences in Midtown Grill, our event venues, the hotel bar and the sunny terrace along the Korenlei. A peek behind the scenes of your role
As Demi Chef de Partie, you will support the chefs in a wide variety of culinary settings: from à-la-carte service in the restaurant to walking dinners, bar snacks and event catering. You’ll help ensure smooth service and high-quality output, always with attention to detail, flavor and presentation.
Specifically, this means:
* Assisting with service preparations
* Finishing dishes according to the Chef de Partie’s instructions
* Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in your workspace
* Notifying when stock needs to be replenished
* Contributing actively to a positive team spirit
Who are we looking for?
* At least 2 years of experience in a professional kitchen
* You work independently, in a structured and precise way
* Flexible availability within a rotating schedule from Monday to Sunday
* Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
* Fluent in Dutch or English; additional languages are a plus

* You are a team player who thrives in a busy kitchen
* You work accurately and pay attention to detail in flavor and presentation
* You switch easily between tasks and settings (restaurant, bar, events…)
* You take responsibility and strictly follow hygiene procedures
