At the brand-new Courtyard by Marriott hotel in Ghent, STROOM Brasserie offers a contemporary take on Belgian cuisine in a warm, lively setting. We combine quality ingredients, seasonal dishes and a welcoming atmosphere where hotel guests and locals come together.
To strengthen our kitchen team, we are looking for a Chef de Partie who brings structure, consistency and passion for Belgian cuisine.
What does your role involve?
As Chef de Partie, you are responsible for your own section and play a key role in delivering high-quality, recognizable dishes with a modern twist.
1. You prepare and present dishes according to the recipes and standards of the Head Chef
2. You ensure consistency in taste, quality and presentation
3. You manage your mise-en-place efficiently and maintain a clean, organized workstation
4. You contribute to smooth service during both lunch and dinner operations
5. You support the Sous Chef and Head Chef with menu execution and seasonal updates
6. You guide and support junior colleagues where needed
7. You collaborate closely with both kitchen and front-of-house teams
Who are we looking for
8. You have 2–3 years of experience as Chef de Partie or Demi Chef (experience in brasserie or high-volume kitchen is a plus)
9. You have a passion for Belgian cuisine and classic dishes with a modern touch
10. You work in a structured and organized way, even during busy services
11. You are a team player with a hands-on mentality
12. You communicate well in English (Dutch is a plus)
13. You are available full-time or at least 4/5, with flexibility between Monday and Sunday
