You will be working in a modern restaurant inside a newly built ultramodern event center, nestled between our three international hotels totaling 405 rooms. A unique location where locals, hotel guests, and event visitors come together.
Your Role
Do you want to take the culinary lead in a brand-new Tuscan restaurant in Ghent?
Arno Ristorante opens its doors in October 2025 in a brand-new, state-of-the-art event center and is looking for an experienced and inspiring Head Chef who combines taste with vision and leadership. A creative professional with a love for Italian cuisine and a keen eye for quality ingredients, delivering an exceptional dining experience.
Your role as Head Chef
1. You define the culinary vision and oversee the daily operations of the kitchen.
2. You create and continuously update the menu with a focus on seasonal ingredients, Tuscan traditions, and gastronomic flair.
3. You lead the kitchen team with passion and experience, coaching them in both craftsmanship and collaboration.
4. You ensure top-tier quality, food cost control, hygiene, and presentation down to the last detail.
5. You work closely with the restaurant manager and the events team to provide guests with a flawless overall experience.
Who Are We Looking For?
6. You have at least 5 years of experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef in a gourmet or fine dining restaurant.
7. You are available to work full-time (38 hours) or at least 4/5th, spread over 4 to 5 shifts from Monday to Sunday between 7 a.m. and 11 p.m.
8. You are passionate about Italian cuisine – Tuscany is more than just a holiday destination to you.
9. You are a natural leader with strong organizational skills and a sharp eye for quality.
10. You are creative in the kitchen while also being realistic in planning and execution.
11. You communicate fluently with your team and enjoy collaborating with other departments.
12. You speak Dutch or English and can express yourself clearly in a professional setting.

Our location is easy to reach, wherever you're coming from. The event center and Arno Ristorante are located at Akkerhage 2B, 9000 Ghent, right off Exit 9 (U.Z. Gent) on the E17. Coming by car?
