Courtyard by Marriott Ghent is looking for a motivated and skilled Chef de Partie to join the kitchen team. In our brand-new kitchen, you will contribute to a contemporary hotel menu and take responsibility for preparing breakfast during the early shift (approximately 40% of your working hours). In addition, you will assist with preparation and service during the other shifts.

What will your role involve?
* Preparing hot and cold dishes in line with Marriott International standards.
* Supporting mise-en-place and assisting during service.
* Following recipes and presentation guidelines precisely.
* Contributing to the development of menu items and suggestions.
* Ensuring an orderly and hygienic workspace in compliance with HACCP.
* Collaborating constructively with colleagues in both the kitchen and front of house.
* Reporting shortages or technical issues to the head chef in a timely manner.
Who are we looking for?
* You have experience as a cook in a professional kitchen, preferably in hospitality or hotels.
* You work accurately and efficiently, even during busy moments.
* You are flexible and willing to work weekends and public holidays.
* Work schedule: 40% early shift breakfast (5:00 – 13:00) / other shifts: 7:00 – 15:00, 15:00 – 23:00 or 9:00 – 17:00.
* You communicate clearly and enjoy working as part of a team.
* You have knowledge of HACCP or are willing to be trained.
* You are fluent in Dutch or English.
* You are looking for full-time employment or at least 4/5.
