About The Job
Based at the Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong within Pastry Kitchen in Hong Kong, the Commis II is responsible for to assist the Sous Chef with the daily working requirements and the smooth running of the operation and displayed as mandated by the Executive Pastry Chef in order to acquire maximum customer satisfaction and profitability. Commis II reports to the Executive Pastry Chef, Assistant Executive Pastry Chef or Sous Chef.
As Commis II, you will be responsible for the following duties:
Assist the daily operation of the Pastry kitchen
Keep the specific kitchen areas clean and hygienic
Check refrigerators, utensils and kitchen equipment on cleanliness
Adhere to all the standards of food handling, production, preparation, portioning and presentation
Assist the senior chefs in preparation and production of all food items
