Purpose of the role
1. As the face of BSI, the role of the Associate Auditor is to work closely with BSI clients to help them improve their performance by assessing their systems and processes against BSI standards. At the end of each assessment the Associate Auditor compiles a business report and presents this to the client.
2. The scope of the position will typically cover clients within the region of the role holder however some wider CE delivery may be required. The role is home-based.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
3. Recommend the issue, re-issue or withdrawal of certificates, and report recommendations in accordance with BSI policy, procedures and prescribed time frame.
4. Prepare assessment reports and deliver findings to clients to ensure client understanding of the assessment decision and clear direction to particular items of corrective action where appropriate.
5. Ensure that value is added to customers and their business/organisation through the assessment of their systems and processes against BSI requirements
6. Continually enhance & uphold the reputation and perception of BSI through excellent planning, delivery, report writing and day-to-day interactions with customers and other key stakeholders
7. Demonstrate commercial acumen and real added value when feeding back to clients
8. Continually demonstrate a professional and engaging approach whilst assessing clients
Lead assessment teams as required ensuring that team members are adequately briefed so that quality of service is maintained and that effective working relationships are sustained both with Clients and within the team
9. Establish and develop an effective partnership, which secures the commercial relationship and encourages opportunities for business development and increased client satisfaction with clients in your portfolio.
Skills:
10. Proven industry experience/knowledge/qualifications related to area of expertise
11. Have a Lead Auditor qualification in ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001 and other applicable standards
12. Demonstrates knowledge of how a business operates to ensure appropriate interpretation of management system standards
13. Proven administrative and organisational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and manage customer expectations
14. Strong emotional intelligence with the ability to adapt style to a variety of situations
15. Effective relationship builder through a personable, consultative approach
16. Computer literate with experience of basic microsoft packages
17. Energy and commitment to undertake the role, which can be very demanding, working within different premises every day, being in front of the client and constantly on the move.
