Job Description
Reporting to Euroconsumers’ Head of Advocacy, Enforcement and Communication part of the Corporate Affairs & Public relations team, you will analyse and develop different policy dossiers and activities, with a particular focus on those that require an economic analysis. You will also build networks and support representation activities.
Responsibilities
* Monitor developments at European/international level and in the market, identifying opportunities for Euroconsumers to develop strategic positions, activities and impactful collaborations.
* Work in different fields of consumer policy from an economic and political perspective.
* Develop a network of relevant policy, business and civil society stakeholders and set up meaningful coalitions.
* Work in close collaboration with the communication and enforcement colleagues to define, safeguard and exploit Euroconsumers’ strategic positions in multiple outlets and multiple formats.
* Work in close collaboration with the B2B teams to inspire and create impactful partnerships with market players.
* Support in organizing Euroconsumers events.
* Support in preparing representation activities and events.
Qualifications
* You obtained a Master’s degree level in Economics or Business studies
* You have 5-10 years experience working in European/international policy and advocacy.
* You can assess different areas of consumer policy from, in particular from an economic perspective.
* A background in consumer policy is an absolute plus.
* A business background is an absolute plus.
* You have excellent verbal and written communications skills in English. Proficiency in French and Dutch is an advantage.
* You are good at analysing and summarising complex information.
* You are a highly organized, detail-oriented, and rigorous person.
* You are a great networker and coalition-builder.
* You are business-oriented and solution-minded.
* You’re a team player; you find it easy to collaborate with others.
