Scope of Responsibilities
Lead and supervise design and drafting activities for greenfield and brownfield projects. Work independently with minimal supervision, coordinating with multiple stakeholders such as project managers, engineers, construction teams, and third parties. Most work will be at the CLIENT site. Possess good practical knowledge of LV and MV electrical installations. Prepare and develop electrical designs during the DEFINE, DESIGN, and EXECUTE phases of projects, ensuring quality, clarity, and consistency. Ensure all design deliverables are completed and issued according to project specifications, procedures, schedules, and budgets. Set priorities, organize work efficiently, and meet project goals.
Primary Duties
* Experience in greenfield and brownfield projects, capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously.
* Communicate and liaise with internal and external stakeholders such as Clients, Vendors, and Project teams. Coordinate within own discipline and with maintenance and other disciplines.
* Maintain responsibility for project progress and productivity, identifying corrective actions to meet schedules.
* Identify scope changes and promptly raise change notifications.
* Ensure consistency across all drawings, conducting thorough checks for correctness and quality of engineering drawings.
* Attend project meetings as required.
* Prepare sketches and markups to support drafting team inputs.
* Perform drafting modifications using AutoCAD and E-Plan.
* Prepare and review design deliverables such as Block Diagrams, Electrical Equipment Room layouts, Cable Tray/Trench layouts, Earthing layouts, and typical installation details.
* Develop clash-free designs.
* Review drawings from other disciplines if needed.
* Issue engineering drawings and layouts for Inter-Discipline Checks (IDC).
* Perform and verify calculations such as cable tray fill, lighting, trench, and duct bank sizing.
* Maintain knowledge of single-line diagrams, connection diagrams, and schematics.
* Assist engineers with vendor document reviews, input to Material Take-Offs (MTO), and other engineering activities.
* Coordinate with construction teams to resolve site queries and clarifications.
* Review As-Built drawings and issue As-Built packages to clients.

* Strong coordination and communication skills.
* Ability to follow directives and instructions effectively.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, E-Plan, etc.
* Thorough knowledge of Safety and Quality Procedures.
* Familiarity with international standards and codes such as IEC, ISA, and ISO.
Essential Qualifications and Education
* High School diploma with a diploma in Electrical Design or equivalent experience.
* More than 10 years of experience with major contractors or consultants in the oil and gas or chemicals industry.
