Context
The global immunology team is expanding due to internal transitions. The role replaces the current psoriasis medical lead, who will switch to another indication once the new hire joins.
Small medical director team (4 people), embedded in an international immunology organisation (~10–12 total).
High visibility global role, 80% focused on psoriasis, with cross indication contributions.
Typical Day
• Develop and update global medical strategy for psoriasis.
• Serve as the scientific SME, supporting cross functional teams.
• Lead publications, evidence generation, advisory boards, and material review.
• Maintain global KOL network and gather scientific/clinical insights.
• Collaborate with regional MA teams and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure medical excellence and scientific rigor across deliverables.
Years of Experience
Approx. 5–8+ years in medical affairs.
Flexibility: proven competence prioritized over exact seniority.
Must Have
• Medical Affairs experience in pharma (global or above country).
• Expertise in dermatology or immunology (IBD, rheumatology, etc.).
• Strong execution skills in global medical planning.
• Excellent communication; comfortable with internal/external visibility.
• Strong team player mindset.
• Ability to manage expectations from diverse and demanding stakeholders.
• Scientific background (MD/PharmD/PhD or strong equivalent).
Ideal Candidate
• Solid experience in psoriasis.
• Strong cross functional leadership in immunology.
• Highly reliable, structured, and autonomous.
• Excellent soft skills and ability to navigate a matrix environment.
• Consistent performer with strong delivery track record.
