About BESIX Plant & Equipment
The BESIX Plant & Equipment department manages, maintains, and repairs a large fleet of capital equipment for civil construction projects, as well as a wide range of foundation machines. To reinforce our growing team, we are looking for a motivated Senior Plant & Equipment Engineer who will play a key role in supporting our international operations.
Your Role
As a Senior Plant & Equipment Engineer, you will:
1. Lead the organization of mobilization and demobilization of equipment for national and international projects.
2. Provide expert support to operational teams on site and collaborate closely with the methods department.
3. Oversee the technical and administrative follow-up of our equipment fleet, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
4. Take on increasing responsibilities, including mentoring junior engineers and contributing to strategic decisions.
5. Conduct regular visits to inspect equipment and support local teams on international projects.
6. Offer back-office support to the international equipment department, ensuring smooth coordination across projects
Qualifications
7. You hold a master’s degree in industrial or civil engineering, specialized in mechanics or electro-mechanics.
8. You have relevant work experience in plant, equipment, or construction-related engineering.
9. Dutch is mandatory, with a good knowledge of French; excellent English is also required. Any additional language is an asset.
10. You are passionate about technics, machines, and engines, with a hands-on mindset.
11. You are persevering, enthusiastic, and entrepreneurial, with a strong sense of responsibility.
12. You are a fluent communicator, able to clearly transmit ideas and technical concepts.
13. You are flexible and willing to travel worldwide, with missions abroad lasting up to one month.
