Within the Pharmaceutical Solutions department, we focus on highly customized products developed according to the specific needs, medicines and questions of our pharmaceutical customers. As a Senior Process Engineer, you will be part of a cross-functional production team where engineering, quality, maintenance and operations work closely together to continuously improve processes, yield and quality.
As a Senior Process Engineer, you play a key role in analyzing, improving and future-proofing our automated production processes. You translate complex production challenges into sustainable improvements while acting as a bridge between production and project teams. Your mission is clear: deliver stable, high-quality and efficient processes that support Terumo’s growth and innovation.
Your responsibilities
Analyze production processes and identify improvement opportunities
Optimize production systems with a strong focus on OEE, quality and yield
Define, implement and safeguard process standards
Identify and prioritize bottlenecks and production issues using data-driven analysis
Perform structured problem solving using proven methodologies
Develop, coordinate and implement improvement proposals across departments
Ensure permanent implementation and sustainability of solutions
Actively support change management through training, procedures and communication
Implement and optimize digital systems for process visualization and analysis
Act as the link between production and project teams for new installations
Manage the complete COC process
After project delivery, lead p-FMEA and ensure feedback into SIPOC
Your profile
Master’s degree in Electromechanics or equivalent, or a Bachelor’s degree with additional relevant experience
At least 5 years of experience in production environments with fully automated assembly lines
Strong knowledge of process expertise, process control tools (such as 6S), engineering studies and process capability
Affinity with PLCs, robotics, cobots, AI or industrial engineering
Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
Excellent communication, organizational and project management skills
Natural team player who enjoys cross-functional collaboration
Fluent in Dutch and English
