CFO (m/w/d)
Your role
To lead, develop and implement general accounting operations and produce internal and external financial reporting for the Business Unit in order to balance financial performance, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
Key Accountabilities
Lead the Finance and Actuarial team.
Lead the production of statutory / regulatory /Solvency reporting.
Responsible towards local Financial Accounting & Reporting Controller for supporting Group instructions on statutory and regulatory matters.
Produce the annual account and manage the external audit relationship.
Lead financial planning activities such as budgeting, forecasting, financial control, and capital investment, for a basic/ intermediate country or for strategic compliance within Group Financial Accounting & Reporting to meet the information needs of management, the company, regulator and government bodies.
Produce Group Reporting results for the reporting units / legal entities towards the Local Financial Accounting & Reporting Controller.
Review the accuracy of all balance sheet, Profit & Loss and Statistical items required by Group and in line with Group instructions, guidelines, and policies.
Coordinate the end‐to‐end production process including activities performed by service centres towards local Financial Accounting & Reporting Controller.
Proactively search for internal control and operational improvements within the accounting team.
Develop, propose and, where appropriate, lead the implementation of initiatives or programs, including various IT projects, to improve processes, develop policies and generate innovation to maintain regulatory compliance.
Develop and manage relationships with key stakeholders (External auditors, Government bodies...)
Your skills and experience
Master degree (or equivalent) in Accounting and/or Finance
Accounting degree and finance job experience of 7-10 years
Understanding of IFRS 17 standards
Fluent in English (mandatory) – good command in French
Knowledge of Insurance Industry (Life & Risk Insurance)
Knowledge of regulatory reporting in Luxembourg or with another EU regulator
Good understanding of Solvency II regulations
High level of user knowledge in MS-Office, in particular Excel
Quick of comprehension as well as analytical thinking
Team-oriented, systematic and goal‐oriented operating
Excellent oral and written communication & management skills
High degree of flexibility expected
Good level of problem‐solving skills
