As a Business Controller for our European Sales Offices (SOF), you become the financial right hand of a country manager, driving profitability and improving the commercial and financial analysis and reporting.

* You are the first financial point of contact to support the business and closely monitor and improve profitability and efficiencies, both on a commercial and full P&L level.
* Managing and driving various projects, you provide ad-hoc analysis on commercial and other cases.
* While challenging and translating commercial volume forecasts to sales, costs and EBIT twice per year in a recurring cycle, you set targets during one of the two cycles. You also provide ad-hoc forecast updates and simulations depending on business needs.
* You manage the monthly closing process, ensuring timely and accurate closing on a monthly basis of all accounts, including all necessary accruals, providing input in the Exco-report and ensuring accuracy of both P&L and B/S.
* Looking over pricing, costing and profitability management, you ensure provisions for rebates and discounts are followed-up and that reported margins are analyzed and improved. You also identify cost drivers and ensure long term cost improvements.
About you
To be able to achieve the above and be successful in this role we believe you need to have:
* A master's degree, preferably in Applied Economics or Commercial/Business Engineering combined with a first experience in controlling and/or audit.
* Ambition, drive and the desire to make a difference in your daily responsibilities.
* An analytical, critical and hands-on mindset, willing to go the extramile.
* Great interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you to build professional relationships and be a true financial business partner: interested, committed and reliable.
* The pro-active mentality and willingness to understand, allowing you to see opportunities behind the numbers.
* Strong knowledge of Excel, and if you can add SAP & BI tools, we would consider that a plus.
* Fluency in English and Dutch.
* Open to travel across Europe, about once per month.
