Ready to shape the future of ports worldwide?
At MTBS, you will work on high-impact international projects in port strategy, investments and transactions. Together with a close-knit and entrepreneurial team, you will help clients make critical decisions that shape global trade and infrastructure.
The Opportunity
At MTBS, you will play a key role in developing ports and logistics projects around the world. As a Senior Consultant, you will lead small, high-performing teams (typically 2–5 consultants) on complex PPP and M&A assignments.
You will work closely with clients across different regions, combining strategic insight with financial expertise. If you enjoy international projects, direct client interaction, and the opportunity to travel, this role offers a unique and rewarding challenge.
The Role
As a Senior Consultant, you will lead and contribute to a highly skilled advisory team known for its quality and collaborative approach. You will work on a wide range of projects for leading clients in the global port and logistics sector. Your responsibilities include:
Leading international PPP and M&A projects in ports and logistics
Advising clients on strategy, investments and valuations
Managing project teams and ensuring high-quality delivery
Building strong, long‑term client relationships
Identifying new opportunities and contributing to business development
From deep‑sea terminals to inland ports, logistics parks and special economic zones, you will help shape the future of the sector through impactful, real‑world projects.
You will also contribute to expanding our project portfolio, particularly in the Belgian and French speaking markets and potentially in Francophone Africa. By building trusted relationships and understanding client needs, you will help identify new opportunities and translate them into successful engagements.
Your Qualifications
You have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the port and logistics sector, for example with a global terminal operator, advisory firm (‘Big 4’), or financial institution
A university degree in Economics, Finance, Civil Engineering or a related field
Experience in areas such as market analysis, finance, strategy, infrastructure development, and PPP and/or M&A transactions
International work experience
A commercial and proactive mindset
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Fluency in English and French is essential; Dutch or other languages (e.g. Spanish) are a plus
Don’t meet every requirement, but excited about the role? We’d still love to hear from you.
