Roles & Responsibilities
As a Microsoft Purview Consultant specializing in data security and compliance, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our clients' data assets are secure and compliant with regulatory standards. While data governance is a nice-to-have, our primary focus will be on leveraging Purview's robust security and compliance features.
• Data Security:
• Implement data loss prevention (DLP) policies to safeguard sensitive information.
• Manage data classification and labeling to ensure proper handling and protection.
• Monitor for unauthorized access and potential security breaches.
• Compliance:
• Ensure adherence to regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, and HIPAA.
• Conduct audits and gap analyses to identify and address compliance gaps.
• Develop and maintain documentation and reporting mechanisms for audits.
• Staying Updated:
• Keep abreast of the latest security threats and regulatory changes.
• Continuously update strategies and policies to align with new requirements.

Skills & Qualifications
• Proficiency in Microsoft Purview, with a focus on security and compliance features.
• Experience with data protection frameworks and regulations.
• Strong ability to design and implement security policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of risk management and incident response.
• Excellent communication skills to translate technical requirements into business terms.
• Technical skills in Azure services and relevant certifications (e.g., SC-400: Implement Information Protection in Microsoft 365; - AZ-500 Azure Security Engineer Associate) are a plus.
