Electrical Project Engineer – Offshore Energy Projects – English required – ALTEN Belgium
The Role
As part of our continuous growth, ALTEN Belgium is looking for an Electrical Project Engineer to support large-scale offshore energy infrastructure projects in Belgium.
You will work within a multidisciplinary engineering team and support the delivery of AC offshore substations, with a specific focus on low-voltage electrical systems. You will contribute to the engineering, review, and execution phases, ensuring technical quality and project readiness.
Your Responsibilities
* Support the electrical engineering scope for offshore substations
* Review and validate technical documentation
* Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT)
* Provide engineering support to construction and installation teams
* Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, SCADA, quality, HSE, contracting, and PMO stakeholders
Technical Scope (Low Voltage Systems)
* LV switchboards
* AC & DC UPS systems
* Diesel generators
* Earthing & bonding
* Lightning protection
* Lighting systems
* Cable management
Your Profile
* Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in EPC or large industrial projects
* Experience in the offshore sector is a strong asset
* Degree in Electrical or Electromechanical Engineering
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Structured, independent, and detail-oriented working style
* Proactive mindset and fast learner
* Excellent knowledge of MS Office
Languages
* English: fluent professional level (required)
* Dutch: asset
