Our client, a leading international group in sustainable building materials, is currently seeking a committed and field-oriented Health & Safety Manager & Business Partner Aggregates to strengthen their H&S performance and culture across their operations in Belgium.
This is a dual-role position: not only are you a Prevention Advisor for your region, but also an active partner to the Aggregates division, shaping strategic safety initiatives and translating them into concrete actions on the ground.
* Provide hands-on support in preventing workplace accidents and health risks.
* Implement and communicate safety guidelines and best practices within your assigned region.
* Conduct site audits and inspections.
* Fulfill legal Prevention Advisor duties (e.g. accident investigation, reporting).
* As a member of the Aggregates management committee, monitor and report H&S performance, identify risks and drive action plans.
* Actively coach, guide, and motivate employees, contractors, and stakeholders on safety issues.
* Manage and lead your direct H&S Advisor.
* Work closely with the Benelux H&S Director on strategic and operational matters.
Functie-eisen
* Certified Prevention Advisor Level 1.
* Minimum 3 years of experience in a H&S advisory role.
* Fluency in French and English; Dutch is a plus.
* Strong communication and persuasion skills across all levels of the organization.
* Experience in extractive industries, cement production, or a similar industrial setting is a plus.
* Strategic thinker with practical problem-solving abilities.
* Able to develop long-term vision and translate it into actionable plans.
