AniCura Malpertuus in Destelbergen is a well‑established referral and primary care veterinary hospital offering a broad range of services, from routine health checks to advanced diagnostic imaging, specialised consultations and highly complex surgical procedures. In addition to first‑opinion care, we provide extensive second‑line referral services supported by modern infrastructure and a multidisciplinary team.
To support our continued growth and to further expand our specialist services, we are looking to strengthen our enthusiastic team with a motivated European Specialist in Veterinary Neurology, with a focus on small animals.

Om onze groei te ondersteunen en steeds meer gespecialiseerde zorg te kunnen aanbieden, willen we ons enthousiaste team versterken met een gemotiveerde Europees Specialist in Veterinaire Neurologie met een focus op kleine huisdieren.
Your profile You are a European Specialist in Veterinary Neurology, residency‑trained and accredited by a recognised European College.
You have relevant experience in small animal neurology .
You are able to independently perform neurological consultations, including full clinical work‑ups and required diagnostics (e.g. blood sampling, CSF collection).
You take full responsibility for case management and follow‑up throughout the entire treatment process.
Medical imaging (interpretation and acquisition) can be delegated if desired; however, experience in performing and interpreting CT and MRI scans yourself is considered a strong asset .
You are able to perform neurosurgical procedures independently. Additionally, you can rely on the support of three experienced veterinarians who routinely perform standard neurological surgeries if needed.
You organise and deliver continuing education courses for referring and first‑opinion veterinarians.
You actively contribute to the further development of the neurology department at Malpertuus and play a key role in the continued expansion of our referral care services.

Digital radiography
CT and MRI scanning
Ultrasound
Extensive endoscopy services (gastroscopy, colonoscopy, bronchoscopy, urethroscopy, otoscopy, rhinoscopy)
Minimally invasive procedures such as laparoscopy, thoracoscopy and arthroscopy
Strong support from the entire team, including veterinary nurses and fellow veterinarians.
