Job Description
As a Legal Advisor - Disciplinary Procedures, your responsibilities are:
* Support the department manager in coordinating and improving a transversal follow-up system for individual employee files
* Analyze complex employee cases and prepare reporting and recommendations for HR teams and managers
* Advise on how to improve processes, tools, and ways of working for HRBP teams and managers
* Support managers and HR teams in handling conflict situations and sensitive interpersonal matters
* Build and manage disciplinary files and low-performance cases, ensuring they are objective, complete, and properly documented
* Collect information from multiple internal stakeholders to create well-structured and defensible files
* Prepare cases thoroughly and present them to senior HR leadership in a clear and convincing way
* Provide guidance on complex reintegration, psychosocial, and internal mobility cases
* Coordinate regulatory HR-related cases with internal partners
* Take clear positions, defend well-reasoned opinions, and communicate with confidence
The Successful Applicant
A successful Legal Advisor - Disciplinary Procedures should have:
* Master's degree in Law
* Fluent in French or Dutch, with a good knowledge of the other national language
* Minimum 2 years of experience in employment law, HR regulation, or a related legal HR environment
* Strong experience in analyzing complex situations and turning them into practical recommendations
* Comfortable handling disciplinary procedures, employee disputes, or other individual HR/legal cases
* Assertive communicator who is able to gather information, build a position, and defend it clearly
* Able to work cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders across an organization
* Empathetic and diplomatic, while remaining objective and firm when needed
* Structured, rigorous, and process-oriented
