We’re looking for a Pre-Sales Solutions Engineer to help drive the success of our digital rail solutions globally.
What You’ll Be Doing
Partner with the sales team to understand customer requirements and develop tailored technical solutions, proposals, and compliance statements
Prepare and deliver compelling technical presentations and live demonstrations of our solutions to prospective customers
Design end-to-end customer solutions aligned with industry standards and best practices, including full software and hardware Bills of Material (BOM)
Support bid and proposal preparation, producing technical documentation such as system architectures, specifications, compliance matrices, and implementation plans
Act as a trusted pre-sales technical advisor, answering customer questions on system performance, integration, and functionality, and collaborating closely with Product Management and R&D teams
Build, maintain, and reuse a technical Q&A knowledge base to continuously improve customer response quality
Stay up to date with digital rail trends, emerging technologies, and competitor offerings, contributing insights to sales strategy and the product roadmap
Work closely with product management, project delivery, and customer support teams to ensure a smooth transition from pre-sales to post-sales
Deliver technical training sessions for internal teams and customers to strengthen understanding of our solution portfolio
Qualifications & Skills
Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
Proven experience in a technical pre-sales role within the rail sector
Strong understanding of digital rail technologies, including signalling systems, Train Control & Management Systems (TCMS), hardware/software platforms, and data analytics
Excellent technical communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical audiences
Demonstrated proficiency in technical documentation and proposal writing
Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
Willingness to travel globally to support customers and attend industry events
Languages: Fluent English (written and spoken) required; French and/or German are a strong advantage
Contract : Freelance
Experience required : 5 years minimum
