The opportunity
Our internal Finance team of EY is looking for a Business Controller. In this role you will support the Business Partners, who work closely with our Business leaders, in their daily activities. As you will grow into a Business Partner over time, we are looking for someone that is confident and capable of giving an accurate opinion in situations that require a clear vision and insight

Your key responsibilities
8. You combine financial knowledge with solid advisory skills. On the one hand, you support Business Partners with the planning and forecast, as well as the analysis of the weekly / monthly results compared to budget and sales pipeline. On the other hand, you verify write-ups/write-offs and evaluate billing discipline by monitoring high and low (un)billed inventory, estimated realization percentage, margin, productivity and composition of client-serving teams
9. You present your findings to Business Partners, including exception reporting on trends and deviations. You create and implement leading and best practices
10. You are the key person Business Partners rely on concerning the analysis of financial figures in relation to the business
11. You act as a reliable point-of-contact for the Business in matters of reporting systems
12. You collaborate with the rest of the Finance team to drive collective success
To qualify for the role you must have
13. You hold at a minimum a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance/Economics
14. You have at least 3 to 5 years of working experience in a relevant position; Experience in Accountancy is an asset. We will also consider recent graduates if they can demonstrate an eagerness to learn combined with a can-do mentality
15. You are analytical, accurate and have strong data-gathering skills
16. You possess strong interpersonal skills, which makes you an excellent communicator
17. You are able to adapt quickly to changes and can handle multiple priorities concurrently
18. You have a professional approach, remain poised in every situation, and are oriented to quality improvement
19. Throughout your career you already gained experience in working with financial software and Excel
20. You are fluent in English + French/Dutch

21. The Finance team works mainly out of the EY office in Diegem. However, depending on your situation, there is an opportunity to work partly from home or out of one of our other offices
