Arcsec, a KU Leuven spin-off, is pioneering attitude determination and control systems for small satellites. We supply components globally to universities and aerospace companies, and collaborate with the European Space Agency on cutting-edge development projects.
We’re looking for a hands-on Assembly Technician to join our team in Leuven.
Your Mission
As an Assembly Technician, you’ll be responsible for assembling mechanical, optical, and electronic satellite components. You’ll follow strict procedures and quality standards, perform testing (thermal, shock, electronic), and document results. You’ll also support design modifications, optimize production processes, and develop test setups—including drafting plans.
What You’ll Do
* Assemble aerospace components
* Inspect incoming parts
* Support mechanical designers with suggesting CAD updates
* Execute tests in-house and at external facilities
* Contribute to design and process improvements
What You Bring
* Bachelor’s in Electromechanics (or equivalent experience)
* Precision and strong reporting skills
* Proficiency in Word and Excel
* Ability to perform electrical measurements
Bonus Skills
* Python scripting
* Basic soldering
* Passion for space technology
