The Valuations team, part of KPMG’s Deals & Strategy practice, supports clients in understanding the true value of businesses, shares, and specific assets. This enables management, company directors, shareholders, and other stakeholders across private and public sector organizations to make well-informed decisions.
To further strengthen the Valuations team and support continued growth, the team is seeking a motivated and capable professional with a minimum of four years of relevant corporate finance experience.
Roles & Responsibilities
What will the role involve?
As a Senior Consultant within the Valuations team, the role operates within the Deals practice, with a focus on providing valuation advice to clients across a range of industry sectors. This includes the valuation of businesses, shares, and intangible assets (such as brands and customer relationships) for various purposes, including M&A transactions, accounting, tax matters, internal reorganisations, and disputes. The role also involves supporting clients with Purchase Price Allocations (IFRS 3) and impairment testing under BE GAAP and IAS 36.
Key responsibilities include:
Performing market and financial research, analyzing financial statements, conducting pricing or valuation analyses, and preparing valuation reports;
Collaborating closely with other team members, client’s Finance or M&A teams, and other KPMG teams (Audit, Tax, Legal, Strategy, etc.);
Participating in the day-to-day management of engagements, coaching colleagues, and acting as a point of contact for clients throughout the process;
Building and developing a professional network, and establishing long-term clients' relationships by acting as a trusted advisor, and leveraging expertise, skills and experience to support clients' objectives.

Skills & Qualifications
The following qualifications, expertise, and skills support success in this role:
A Master's degree, combined with a minimum of four years of relevant experience in areas such as M&A, financial modeling, and valuations;
Solid knowledge of corporate finance, supported by strong presentation skills; experience with valuation techniques applied to value companies, businesses, intangible assets, and options is an asset;
Experience in one or more of the following sectors is considered an asset: Financial Services, Energy and infrastructure, Technology;
Strong analytical skills including the ability to interpret data, generate insights, and develop well-founded solutions;
Confidence in working with AI tools, combined with a critical mindset when applying AI in daily tasks and team collaboration;
Excellent organizational and planning skills, with the ability to perform consistently at a high level, including under time pressure and strict deadlines;
Experience in business development activities;
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in multidisciplinary (deal) teams, with a strong interest in understanding and addressing complex challenges;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Dutch and/or French, in addition to English.
