Your Work Context
For years, Jan De Nul Group has been focusing on specific offshore services for the renewable energy market. Together with our civil and marine activities, we offer a total package to our customers: installation of offshore wind farms, subsea cables and umbilicals, intervention works on the seabed, as well as rock installation and ballasting. To support the growing activities within the offshore department, we want to strengthen the team with an Offshore Design Coordinator.
Your Role
This job forms an essential link between Offshore Department and Study Department(s) by following up and managing Design and Interfaces in the various phases of Offshore Projects. You will work with a view to drawing up technically and financially feasible files and the correct elaboration and follow-up of the various Offshore Designs. You will represent JDN and actively participate in innovative projects and research assignments.
* Provide Consultancy on Offshore Design related matters coming from internal stakeholders
* Delegate/coordinate Design related matters to internal study office(s), external study offices, universities and knowledge centres
* Support and manage within a tender team the Designs in tender phase with the intention to implement Lessons learned from previous projects
* Help to develop and optimize the interfaces between Design, Fabrication, Low Voltage and Operations.
* Prepare consultation moments to reflect the evolution and planning of the project(s) and assignments to the Design and Engineering Teamlead Offshore.
* Reporting important design decisions with the aim of obtaining the technically and economically optimal results.
What do you need?
You have a Master's degree in Engineering Science or equivalent through experience. You have at least 5 years of relevant experience. You have knowledge of Offshore Design and strong market knowledge. You can express yourself perfectly in English, other languages are a plus. You are willing to make short business trips on a regular basis.
