Legal & Corporate Governance Officer

The Legal & Corporate Governance Officer ensures EGI’s entities, contracts, and processes operate under robust governance and efficient coordination. Acting as the operational backbone of the COO Office, this role combines hands-on execution with strategic oversight, ensuring EGI’s multi-entity structure runs smoothly, compliantly, and in alignment with Group standards.
Entity Governance & Compliance
Coordinate with Legal, Finance, and the Elia Group General Secretariat to prepare, update, and maintain documentation related to the creation, modification, and management of EGI’s international entities (subsidiaries and branches).
Support compliance with internal governance policies and external regulatory requirements across jurisdictions (e.g., Proactively identify potential compliance gaps and propose corrective measures.
Contract Management
Service Agreements (with clients or internal group entities)
Vendor contracts and consultancy agreements
Service-Level Agreements (SLAs) and framework contracts
Ensure alignment of contract templates with Group standards, maintain an up-to-date contract register, and track renewal or expiration deadlines.
Support the COO in transversal initiatives (e.g. entity lifecycle management, tool alignment, ISO process updates, project governance).
Prepare project documentation, progress dashboards, and management presentations.
Ensure follow-up of action plans and internal project deadlines across teams.
Quality Officer
Maintain and update EGI’s Quality Management System (QMS), including process documentation and improvement actions.
Master’s degree preferably in Law or a related field.
~4–6 years of professional experience in corporate governance, project management, or administrative coordination in an international or consulting environment.
~ Understanding of company and financial services laws and regulations; familiarity with ISO or compliance frameworks is a plus.
Excellent organisational and time management skills; able to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
Fluent in English; good command of French or German is an asset.
Team player with excellent interpersonal communication skills.
