Team/division Description
Your team and your responsibilities
Located just outside Brussels is our European Distribution Centre in Diest, called Toyota Parts Centre Europe (TPCE) employing 930 people. It is responsible for the procurement, storage and logistics of a dedicated range of Toyota/Lexus spare parts, accessories and technical campaign parts, supporting both the new car sales as well as the service and warranty needs of existing customer vehicles.

The Diest facility receives parts from over 700 suppliers, located overseas or within Europe, and manages over 250,000 part numbers. The facility, which spans 100,000 square meters, handles more than 150 trucks daily. Its two outbound logistics roles include providing direct overnight supply to over 600 Toyota retailers in the local region and supporting the 13 European Regional Distribution Centres. This ensures a consistent high level of Just In Time service to all National Marketing and Sales Companies (NMSCs), Toyota retailers within Europe, and our final customers in the rest of the World.

Your project
Creation Of a Pro-active Supply Chain Governance Structure For The EMC Operations Team, Including Implementing The Supporting Management Tools, Through

* Current process mapping & identifying opportunities to create a more pro-active supply chain management
* Define the processes and tools required to grasp the identified opportunities in the most efficient way (based on a clear priority setting)
* Proposing the best KPI to monitor the effectiveness of those processes
* Create a clear and simple PowerBi KPI dashboard supporting the governance

Your Profile

* You are fluent in English (TME's business language)
* You are passionate about Supply Chain, with special interest for the automotive industry as a plus
* You are driven by analysing and improving processes
* You enjoy data analysis and have experience with PowerBi
* You can work with attention for detail in a dynamic environment

Due to business requirement, not all performed projects can be reflected in the internship report. This issue needs to be discussed with candidate/school in advance.

It is mandatory that applicants are students for the entire period of the internship.
