Oisoi Studio was founded in 2020 and is based in Gent, Belgium. We are the team behind Painting VR and Wait What’s That, and we play in the highest regions worldwide in immersive VR games and apps.
We are now looking for an experienced Game Designer (with optional VR expertise) to join us and help shape the mechanics, systems, and user experience of our next major platform release.
YOU WILL…
…design, prototype, and iterate on game systems in VR and AR;
…collaborate with developers, artists, and UX to refine game loops;
…develop progression mechanics, social systems, and event-based game modes;
…balance creative freedom with system clarity and platform constraints;
…document core mechanics and translate vision into structured design specs;
…write clear, actionable design specs and maintain design documentation;
…analyze player behavior and iterate based on real-world data.
YOU HAVE…
…3+ years experience in game design;
…strong understanding of player psychology, motivation loops, and retention;
…experience working in Unity and (nice to have) with multiplayer or UGC systems;
…an iterative mindset: you’re quick to prototype, quick to test, and never precious;
…a strong grasp of player motivation, onboarding, and retention mechanics;
…an eye for experience design, from mechanics to pacing to UX clarity;
…great communication skills and fluency in English.
