Ph3About this job /h3 pThis senior role provides high‑level legal support to Toyota Motor Europe’s After Sales and Accessory Purchasing functions. You act as the lead legal partner for distribution, consumer, and warranty matters, guide complex contract negotiations with suppliers and network partners, and contribute to strategic companywide initiatives in a rapidly evolving automotive environment. /p h3Get to know your team and responsibilities /h3 pThe Legal and Compliance Team is a dynamic and internationally diverse team. It provides high quality advice to the management and the various business divisions of TME, as well as to its manufacturing and marketing affiliates in Europe. The team advises on a broad range of matters, including product liability, corporate law, privacy, IP and IT law, brand protection, competition law, contract law, environmental law and regulatory matters. /p pThe automotive industry is an exciting working environment which is undergoing major structural changes related to a.o. connected cars, autonomous driving, fuel cells, electric and hybrid vehicles or mobility as a service. This requires first class legal support and offers attractive opportunities for dynamic lawyers. /p h3Your responsibilities /h3 pWe are looking for a Senior Legal Counsel to support: /p ul lithe After Sales Division, which plays a key role for delivering a customer‑centric experience and driving Toyota’s network performance and service programmes. You will be the legal business partner for the Value Chain Division and provide legal support on a wide variety of topics, ranging from warranty programmes to the distribution of parts and accessories across the European Union. /li liAccessory Purchasing, which is responsible for supplier selection and procurement of accessories and parts for Value Chain Division and Toyota’s network. The legal work touches upon a broad range of areas with challenging negotiations and contract work. /li /ul pYou will also provide legal support on a broad range of matters, including consumer rights, warranty programmes and issues related to consumer information and marketing. /p pYou will also support strategic, companywide projects and business initiatives in which you will work closely with managers from the business units, as well as with other colleagues from the legal team and external counsels. /p pYou will report to a Manager in the Legal and Compliance Division. /p h3Who are we looking for? /h3 h3Your profile /h3 ul liYou are fluent in English (TME’s business language) /li liYou have a Master degree in Belgian or similar law (German, French, Spanish, etc). /li liYou have at least 5 years of experience in an international law firm or as an in‑house counsel in an international environment; /li liYou are interested in distribution models, and consumer law; /li liYou have excellent analytical, contract drafting and negotiation skills; /li liYou are solution oriented and have good business acumen; /li liYou are a team player and easily build good relationships with people across the organisation; /li liYou have the ability to comfortably operate in a consensus based work environment and you grasp and integrate multiple stakeholder interests; /li liYou are comfortable functioning in an international environment with colleagues from various backgrounds and regions; /li liYou are curious and interested in the business and operations of the sector; /li liYou have excellent knowledge of English (TME business language).
