Membership Growth Officer Brazil

Hybrid Work Arrangement: This position will have the same hybrid work arrangement currently in place at the Brazil Office
Overview
This position is a vital member of the Member Experience team responsible for driving membership growth and retention in a defined geographic territory. The officer serves as the primary liaison for membership attraction, member engagement, new club development, and public image volunteers. In collaboration with Rotary International directors and other senior and regional Rotary leaders, the officer oversees the progress of membership goals and strategies for the assigned territory.
You Will Have
* College degree required.
* Minimum of three years of experience in member associations, volunteer management, development or a related field (e.g., sales/marketing, public relations, non-profit management); prior volunteer management or Rotary experience strongly preferred.
* Familiarity with personal computers and database applications required, including advanced experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
* Strong interpersonal skills, professional demeanor, and proven ability in oral and written communications, including public speaking and promotional writing.
* Emotional intelligence and relentless commitment to customer service.
* Ability to interact with high-level international business leaders and volunteers in their respective language and in a culturally sensitive manner.
* Ability to travel and support in‑person events.
* Demonstrated ability to be a self‑starter, proactively schedule and manage time, and handle multiple tasks and projects in order to reach goals in a timely fashion.
* Comfort with qualitative and quantitative evaluation.
* Fluency in a second language, a plus.

You Will Be Responsible For
Regional Expertise, Strategy and Analysis
* Preparing, analyzing, and disseminating membership progress reports to volunteer leadership to activate, monitor, and manage activities within the assigned territory.
* Consulting with district and zone leaders on strategic planning and regional membership initiatives based on analytics, trends, and volunteer reports.
* Analyzing market and membership trends and preparing reports and presentations as needed.
* Advising on strategy for new club formation including Rotary, Rotaract, Interact and Rotary Community Corps.
* Creating and maintaining a knowledge management plan for the region, identifying strengths, successes, challenges, and opportunities, and providing guidance and counsel to senior and regional leaders.
Membership and New Club Development
* Managing all prospective member escalations in the assigned territory.
* Supporting all activities related to new club development and chartering.
* Identifying business professionals that meet criteria for Rotary membership using LinkedIn, campus recruiting events, volunteer board recruitment strategies, etc.
* Designing, organizing, and implementing model prospective member events and evaluating district service projects and networking events that could incorporate a prospective member component.
Volunteer Management and Support
* Working closely with senior volunteer leadership to support regional approaches to membership growth and engagement, including regional and district learning events, direct outreach to clubs, new club formation, and recognition opportunities for individuals, clubs, and districts.
* Identifying club creation, member engagement, and brand champions to help advance Rotary’s strategic priorities.
* Supporting regional and district learning events.
* Providing expertise and counsel to club, district, and zone leaders on public image and membership growth strategies and best practices.
* Providing membership growth consultation and managing the relationship with club and district membership chairs.
* Providing public image consultation and managing the relationship with club and district public image chairs.
* Supporting regional Rotaract MDIO leadership in the assigned territory.
* Supporting extension efforts and appointed advisors.
Governance and Finance
* Providing guidance and support in the promotion and utilization of district membership chair funding for membership growth initiatives, including authorizing issuance of payments and confirming eligibility and reporting requirements.
* Ensuring proper club and district use of Rotary’s brand and marks.
* Advising on policies and procedures for issue resolution and escalating if necessary.
* Providing advice and support to club and district leaders as requested based on expert knowledge of Rotary policy and regional culture; evaluating requests for exceptions to policies and guidelines.
