About the Role
We’re looking for a Financial Controller for the Belgian office to assist in the financial control and implementation of processes as well as reporting on the financial situation of the company to the Regional Managers.
Reporting Line: Directly to Financial Director
Language Requirement: Fluent in French, professional English, Dutch is a plus
Participating in monthly closings and budget forecasts:
* Checking and analysing data to produce monthly reports on changes in Belgium's income statement (P&L)
* Preparing reports, monitoring costs by cost center - feedback and presentation to the various departments
* Contributing to the various presentation media for internal clients
* Coordinating the budget exercise - gathering requirements from operational staff
Workforce monitoring:
* Collecting and ensuring the reliability of data (positions/FTEs) / Monitoring monthly changes in headcount (actual, budget)
* Gap analysis
Cross-functional projects:
* Participation in the team's cross-functional projects
* Improving supplier performance processes - Preparing evaluations ahead of calls for tender
* Reinforcement of cost accounting rules, procedures and controls
Qualifications
* M2 in Financial Control, Accounting, Auditing - knowledge of accounting would be an advantage
* 2-5 years of experience in a similar position
* Thoroughness, a taste for figures, curiosity and initiative
* Excel skills are essential
