Your team and your responsibilities
Team/division description
You will join the Material Engineering division within R&D. Our mission is to develop ever‑better materials for Toyota vehicles, with a strong focus on carbon neutrality, circular economy and environmental performance. The team supports multiple functions by designing, testing, validating and implementing advanced materials that ensure durability, sustainability and top‑class quality.
Your project
1. Develop, maintain and optimize the data pipeline for Toyota’s European environmental corrosion prediction model
2. Perform data engineering on real‑time environmental datasets (cleaning, structuring, feature extraction, automation)
3. Conduct data science and machine learning research to enhance prediction accuracy and expand model capabilities
4. Run experimental studies in the materials laboratory to characterize collected samples and validate model outputs
5. Document findings, models and tools in a structured and reproducible format
6. Optionally contribute to related digitalization projects in the team (Machine Vision, LLM-based workflows, Data Management)
7. Additionally, side small project related to visualization of color profitability data on power BI tool will be carried out to adapt existing report to new input format.
