The role of Security Manager involves providing expert advice on security matters to site management teams. This includes supporting the implementation of new projects and upgrades, as well as tracking key performance indicators for the Belgian Generation perimeter.
Responsibilities
* Advisory and Monitoring: Provide binding advice to management teams on security issues.
* Compliance and Alignment: Ensure that action plans align with EU/Country legislation and Group Policies and Standards.
* Standards and Procedures: Establish and maintain security standards, procedures, and tools for risk analysis, incident management, and guarding.
* Coordination and Communication: Act as the main contact for the Brussels Control Center and coordinate physical security measures.
* Protection and Awareness: Protect sensitive information by raising staff awareness and ensuring compliance with Group information classification.
This requires a strong technical background to develop and follow up on security projects and upgrades. The ideal candidate will be able to interpret, create, and update security policies and support local teams in their implementation.
Profile
* Educational and Professional Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree with at least 3 years of experience in law enforcement, military, private security, HSE or a strong interest in security with a commitment to training.
* Policy and Procedure Expertise: Ability to interpret, create, and update security policies and support local teams in implementation.
* Technical Proficiency: Strong technical background to develop and follow up on security projects and upgrades.
* Crisis Management and Coordination: Capable of working under pressure, managing crises, and coordinating with diverse teams and third-party subcontractors.
* Communication and Language Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, able to provide briefings, and proficient in Dutch or French with working knowledge of the other language and English.
