Role Overview Technical Architect: As a Technical Architect Engineering, your core responsibilities encompass communication, research, planning, improvement, and governance of the Technical Architecture at SNCB. You'll work on reference architectures, create building blocks, support Solution Architects, and enhance projects by modifying building blocks and maintaining roadmaps.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities Technical Architect:
1. Provide technical leadership and insights to Solution Architects for identified/required technologies
2. Apply hands-on IT best practices and architectural standards
3. Offer expertise in your disciplines and areas
4. Maintain roadmaps for product components in designated technology areas
5. Coach, guide, and support the implementation team, collaborating closely with our external partner
6. Validate and provide feedback on detailed designs
7. Document the environment using Archimate in SparX following the defined metamodel
8. Translate application requirements into cloud and infrastructure architectures
9. Elaborate roadmaps and business cases
10. Knowledge of project & modeling methodologies
11. Knowledge of business processes
12. To be able to plan ahead for at least 5 years
Role Overview System Engineer: As a System Engineer, you will be responsible for the technical development, planning, and maintenance of the endpoint infrastructure to ensure continuity and efficiency.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities System Engineer:
13. Evaluate the backend and endpoint infrastructure environment and propose upgrades, changes, and improvements
14. Conduct feasibility studies and evaluate different software and hardware solutions
15. Inform and guide infrastructure users for optimal and efficient system usage
16. Create technical designs in line with architecture requirements
17. Implement changes, upgrades, and expansions to software and hardware
18. Provide necessary support and maintenance to the B-IT infrastructure in line with the ITIL methodology
19. Provide technical advice to internal and external clients
20. Act as a focal point within the specific expertise area
21. Keep knowledge up-to-date and share it within the technical field
Vereisten
22. Master's degree or equivalent through experience
23. Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience as a Technical Architect
24. Proficient in English and Dutch or French (preferably with at least a passive knowledge of the second language)
25. Demonstrated knowledge of:
Datacenters & cloud architecture
Data Services (RDBMS, NoSQL, ETL/CDC)
Azure IaaS & PaaS
Container platforms (Kubernetes)
HA and DR Solutions (DC, Hybrid, and Cloud only)
Security/privacy best practices on infrastructure, network, applications, and data
Certification as (Cloud) Security Architect
Experience with Azure AD, SAP IDM, Trustbuilder, Cyberark
Knowledge of Azure automation, infrastructure as code, consumption & licensing
Knowledge of Data Analytics on Azure
Knowledge of API Management integration technologies and Service Architecture
Experience with a multi-cloud environment
