Role Overview
Senior Data Consultant / Data Solution Architect (freelance) based in Brussels. You will be at the heart of a transformative data strategy, driving governance, architecture, and culture across the organization. This role focuses on architecting the future of data, empowering teams, and delivering real business value.
Responsibilities
* Drive the evolution of data governance, acting as PMO for key initiatives and ensuring robust frameworks are in place.
* Lead the development and implementation of data valorization strategies, including advanced reporting, analytics, automation, and AI use cases.
* Define and optimize the reporting strategy, balancing centralized, decentralized, and hybrid models to maximize business impact.
* Advance the data architecture, ensuring clear data lineage and seamless integration with business process descriptions.
* Steer automation projects for reporting in close collaboration with IT, ensuring timely and effective delivery.
* Establish and manage mechanisms for prioritizing reporting development in partnership with IT stakeholders.
* Champion data culture through targeted change management, communicating governance rules and raising awareness across teams.
* Promote cross-functional collaboration to break down silos and enhance information flow throughout the organization.
* Ensure strict compliance with GDPR, ISO27001, and NIS2 regulations at every stage of the mission.
Technical Skills & Experience
* Expertise in business data solution definition and data architecture.
* Advanced knowledge of integrated reporting (ETL, Data storage, SQL, Data cubes).
* Expertise in IT transformation projects.
* Advanced skills in Power BI.
* Intermediate experience with SAP ECC6 and SAP S/4HANA.
* Advanced test management capabilities.
* Proficiency in Business Process Modelling Notation (BPMN).
* Advanced understanding of ITIL frameworks.
* Proven track record in change management and driving data culture adoption.

Other Requirements
* This is a freelance position with a project duration of approximately 24 months (440 days, with possible extension).
* Partial remote work: On‑site presence in Brussels required at least 3 days per week.
* Adherence to business hours and compliance with the client’s Code of Conduct for External Service Providers.
* Ability to coordinate leave and ensure service continuity in line with project needs.
