About The Role
We are currently seeking a Design Release Engineer to join our Hydraulics team. By joining us, you'll be part of a leading company that is shaping the future of hybrid transmission technology. We are looking for a highly motivated Design Release engineer to join our Hydraulics team. In this role, you will be the component owner, focusing on MHEV and PHEV. Note that the position is also open for a junior or low‑experience engineer to be trained in the role.
Responsibilities
designing, developing and releasing hydraulic components for Electric Vehicle (EV), Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV), and Plug‑in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) vehicle applications.
Guide the engineering development of hydraulic components from Design Concept into Product Launch, including FE Simulations, Mechanical Design, and Thermal/Flow Analysis.
Coordinate the release of designs, obtain design approvals, ensure designs are manufacturable, component readiness, track piece cost, investment & mass, support future design direction, lead and facilitate resolution of component issues.
Lead design changes through Product Development, Change Request (CRs), Change Notices (CNs), Global Issue Management (GIMs), Forever Request (FR), Interim Approval Authorization (IAA), and quality gates (APQP) processes, warranty process.
Support supplier quality assurance & warranty resolution.
Qualifications
Bachelor degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics or a closely related engineering degree.
Self‑starter with a knack for leadership, communication skills, and demonstrated problem‑solving ability.
Understanding engineering theory and principles of design.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Preferred Skills
Advanced degree in engineering.
1+ years of related engineering experience.
1+ years of design release experience.
Understanding of Hydraulics, design, manufacturing, testing & development.
Experience with Design Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (DFMEA).
Knowledge of drawing GD&T and dimensional tolerance stack‑ups.
Experience with Statement of Requirements, DFMEA, and Design Reviews.
Working knowledge of problem resolution and tracking systems and engineering change management processes.
Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) Certification.
