Key Responsibilities of the IT Procurement Manager
* Lead a team of professionals in IT Procurement
* Monitor staffing needs and define external/internal profiles proactively.
* Act as liaison between ICT, Finance, Legal, and Procurement departments.
* Manage purchase orders and vendor communications using SAP.
* Track budgets, contract timelines, and renewals.
* Collaborate with HR and team leads to anticipate future skill needs.
* Strategically assess internal vs. external staffing options.
* Coach team members to achieve performance and career growth.
* Stay informed on market trends and procurement innovations.
The Successful Applicant
A successful IT Procurement Manager should have:
* Master's or bachelor degree with equivalent experience.
* Minimum 3 years of team leadership experience.
* Skilled in stakeholder negotiation and communication.
* Familiar with budgeting and financial oversight.
* Knowledge of public procurement is a must have.
* Fluent in French or Dutch, with working knowledge of the other.
* Proficient in SAP or similar ERP systems.
* Strong interpersonal skills: assertive, diplomatic, and results-driven.
