Overview
Medical Science Liaison (MSL) Rare Diseases role at Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine. Focus on Belgium and Luxembourg; field-based with limited office presence. Office locations: Diegem / Beerse. Reports to: Medical Therapeutic Area Lead Rare Diseases. Type: Regular Full-Time.
Responsibilities
* Discuss products, studies and results with health care professionals, providing fair, balanced, objective scientific information and education as required by scientific and business needs.
* Act as the scientific and clinical specialist on J&J products for the treatment in generalized myasthenia gravis (gMG).
* Stay up to date with current scientific and treatment landscape trends in the therapeutic area of interest and organize educational events.
* Demonstrate strategic territory planning and be accountable for the execution of activities described in the MAF tactical plan.
* Collect external insights during interactions and use these insights to inform the Medical Affairs/Core Value Team strategy.
* Collaborate with the Medical Therapeutic Area Lead Rare Diseases and other stakeholders as required.
Qualifications
* Scientific degree: Medical Doctor, Pharmacist or degree in biomedical/scientific sciences (PhD is an additional asset, but not required).
* Fluent in Dutch, French & English.
* Scientific acumen: ability to acquire in-depth scientific and therapeutic knowledge of myasthenia gravis quickly.
* Strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills; ability to prioritize and demonstrate an innovative attitude.
* Drive to engage externally with health care professionals and create meaningful impact through individual interactions.
* Ability to work in a team and independently with open, clear, collaborative relationships aligned on common goals.
Nice to Haves
* Previous experience in a pharma company as MSL or in field roles.
* Experience in set-up and roll-out of medical educational events and projects.
* Proven knowledge of autoimmune diseases and an established network with neurologists.
* Understanding of the Belgian health care environment and dynamics; business acumen is a plus.
