2. The Job
As a Senior Accountant, you are responsible for the financial administration, closing and compliance of one or more entities, ensuring reliable and transparent reporting towards the group.
Your responsibilities include:
* Owning and managing the closing process, ensuring accuracy, completeness and timeliness
* Maintaining and controlling the general ledger, including accruals, journal entries and reconciliations
* Ensuring local compliance, including VAT returns and statutory requirements
* Aligning local financials with group reporting, ensuring consistency and transparency
* Preparing audit documentation and supporting external audits
* Managing intercompany reconciliations and ensuring correct application of accounting policies
* Identifying and driving improvements in financial processes and SAP systems
* Supporting and guiding finance team members, while acting as a sparring partner to the CFO and Group Controller
3. Your Profile
Must-haves
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance or a related field
* 3–5 years of experience in accounting, finance or controlling
* Strong experience with monthly closings and balance sheet management
* Solid understanding of accounting principles and compliance
* Fluency in Dutch, English and French
Nice-to-haves
* Experience with SAP S/4HANA (Public Cloud)
* Exposure to audit processes
* Experience in a group reporting or consolidation environment
