Job Description
We’re looking for a driven and enthusiastic Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our team in Barcelona. This role is perfect for someone with a passion for sales, who’s excited to grow our retail footprint in Spain and beyond. You’ll identify and reach out to top retail prospects, pitch Barner’s value, close deals, and help ensure smooth onboarding and account management.
Your impact (how we measure success):
* The number of new retail partners in Spain keeps growing.
* Your calendar stays packed with relevant meetings you book.
* You turn leads into signed deals — above the agreed baseline.
* You continuously build and maintain a high-quality database of potential clients (distributors, agents, key accounts).
* Customer invoices are collected on time.
* The CRM is always clean and up to date — full data, clear stages, no forgotten leads.
What you’ll do:
* Map and contact concept stores, boutiques, optical stores and chains in key Spanish cities (phone, email, in person).
* Run product presentations, negotiate, and close agreements.
* Build and maintain an opportunity database in the Spanish market.
* Schedule meetings and join when it makes sense.
* Attend international trade shows and industry events (prep, lead capture, follow-up).
* Drive a methodical, data-driven CRM process.
* Own customer collections — track payment terms and coordinate with finance.
Who you are:
* You have at least 3 years of experience in sales or business development and are target-driven.
* A true hunter: curious, persistent, resourceful.
* Native Spanish + fluent English (professional conversations and presentations).
* A great communicator, comfortable with cold calls and face-to-face visits.
* Organized, detail-oriented, and results-focused.
* Bonus: passion for fashion, design, or lifestyle brands.
* Based in Barcelona, with frequent travel (up to 70%)
