DATA JAVA PYTHON REST ETL ELK MICROSERVICES AGILE
On behalf of our client operating in the public sector, we are seeking Data Developers for long-term assignments.
As a Senior Data Developer, you will help transform legacy monolithic applications into scalable microservices, integrating external modules and delivering new features. You will support data evolution (caches, data marts, archived views) and develop monitoring and analysis tools to ensure reliable business flows.
You will collaborate closely with a Data Architect to ensure consistent design, smooth integration, and successful deployment.
Tasks:
Here are the main tasks that we’ll be involved in:
* Design and develop scalable microservices-based applications, contributing to the transformation of legacy monolithic systems.
* Implement and maintain data solutions (caches, data marts, archived views) and develop data mining tools in Python/Java.
* Build and optimize APIs, services, and monitoring tools to ensure performance, reliability, and secure data processing.
* Collaborate closely with functional analysts, testers, and the Data Architect throughout design, integration, and deployment phases.
* Contribute to code reviews, testing (unit/integration), and ensure high standards of quality and documentation.
* Support production systems, troubleshoot issues, and mentor junior team members through knowledge sharing.
Profile:
* At least 10 years of experience in software development applications using mainly the Java programming language OR Python, with the ability to mentor junior developers.
* Mandatory experience with the following tools: Spring Boot, Spring Batch, REST APIs, Git, DB2, SQL, Kubernetes, DevOps, CI/CD, UML, JSON & XML, and Agile Scrum.
* Experience with data integration/ETL, ELK, Jira, Confluence, IntelliJ, Visual Studio Code, etc., is highly useful.
* Fluency in English and at least one of the country’s official languages (French/Dutch).
