Your Role & Responsibilities
As a Commercial Product Sourcer for TVH’s global lighting product range, you play a key role in developing and strengthening our portfolio of work lights, warning lights, signal lights, and other lighting solutions used in material handling, industrial vehicles, and construction & agricultural machinery.
Product Sourcing & Portfolio Expansion
1. You take ownership of the lighting portfolio within the Product Sourcing team.
2. By conducting market research, analysing competitor offerings, visiting trade fairs, and leveraging TVH’s global supplier network, you identify opportunities to expand and optimise the lighting assortment.
3. You proactively scout new suppliers and, together with the Product Purchaser, negotiate technical specifications, pricing, and quality conditions to enhance our market position and reduce purchase costs.
Procurement Support & Availability
4. You ensure that products within your lighting portfolio meet the required standards for quality, availability, and on-time delivery.
5. When availability, price, or quality come under pressure, you react quickly, identify the root cause, and ensure smooth resolution to safeguard the customer experience.
Quality & Supplier Management
6. In collaboration with the Quality team, you monitor and evaluate supplier performance for lighting products.
7. Where necessary, you take constructive action toward suppliers to ensure the best possible outcome for our customers.
Data-Driven Performance Monitoring
8. You use your analytical skills to track KPIs such as product availability, cost developments, and supplier performance.
9. You proactively intervene when performance indicators show risk and maintain a structured, solution-oriented approach.
You have autonomy to make decisions within your product range and can rely on a supportive and experienced team to collaborate on effective action plans.
Your Profile
10. Bachelor-level mindset with a strong interest in technical or commercial product sourcing—lighting experience is a plus, but not required.
11. No deep technical knowledge needed; extensive internal training and expert colleagues will guide you.
12. Strong commercial acumen and communication skills.
13. Ability to build solid relationships and collaborate smoothly with various stakeholders.
14. Comfortable analysing data and translating insights into action.
15. Curious, proactive, and eager to learn.
16. Thrives in an entrepreneurial environment where initiative is encouraged.
17. Excellent command of Dutch and good English skills; French or German is an advantage.
