About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented EMEA Payroll Manager to lead and own payroll operations across the EMEA region. Based in Leuven, you will be responsible for delivering accurate, compliant, and timely payroll for approximately 200 employees across multiple countries, including Germany, India, Israel, Italy, the Netherlands, Switzerland, and the UK.
In this role, you will lead and develop a payroll administrator while partnering closely with HR, Finance, and external providers to ensure a seamless payroll experience. You will also play a key role in driving continuous improvement, standardization, and operational efficiency across the region.
You will report directly to the Senior Vice President of Human Resources, based in the United States.
Key responsibilities
As EMEA Payroll Manager, you will:
* Own and deliver end-to-end payroll operations across multiple EMEA countries, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance
* Ensure adherence to local labor laws, tax regulations, and internal company policies
* Lead, coach, and support a payroll specialist, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
* Oversee payroll systems (ADP) and time & attendance processes, ensuring data integrity and operational efficiency
* Partner with Finance on payroll accounting, reconciliations, reporting, and audits
* Drive process improvements, automation, and standardization initiatives across payroll operations
* Serve as the primary escalation point for complex payroll queries and issue resolution
* Manage relationships with external payroll providers, ensuring high-quality service delivery and compliance
* Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including HR, Finance, and business leaders
* Act as a subject matter expert on payroll and contribute to broader HR and operational projects
Your Profile
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in HR, Finance, Economics, or a related field
* 8 – 10+ years of payroll experience in a multi-country (EMEA) environment
* Strong knowledge of payroll compliance across multiple jurisdictions
* Hands-on experience with ADP payroll systems
* Proven ability to manage payroll operations with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality
* Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
* Experience leading, mentoring, or developing others
* Fluent in English; additional European languages (e.g., Dutch) are a plus
* High attention to detail and a continuous improvement mindset
