Role Purpose:
The PMO Manager provides strategic oversight and operational support for the company’s global project portfolio, ensuring consistent governance, methodology, and delivery standards across business and IT initiatives. This role drives alignment between projects and corporate objectives, optimizes resource allocation, and ensures transparency in performance reporting. The PMO Manager will play a key role in supporting the company’s digital transformation and AI strategy, ensuring that innovation is pursued responsibly, securely, and in alignment with corporate priorities.
This is a newly created role and does not include hierarchical leadership; it is an independent role with strong coordinating responsibilities across teams. Occasional travel may be required.
Key Responsibilities:
* Governance & Methodology: Develop and maintain standardized project management frameworks, incorporating best practices for both business and IT projects. Ensure compliance with corporate policies, regulatory requirements (including GDPR, NIS2), and quality standards. Integrate principles of data security, privacy protection, and compliance into all project management processes, in line with the company’s AI and digital strategy.
* Portfolio & Program Management: Manage the global portfolio of business, IT, and AI-related projects, prioritizing based on strategic impact and value creation (“sell more or spend less”). Facilitate decision-making on project selection, resource allocation, and budget approval, with a focus on projects that deliver measurable value and support digital transformation.
* Planning & Execution Support: Assist project managers in creating detailed plans, budgets, and risk assessments, with particular attention to data security, shadow IT risks, and integration with core platforms (Microsoft 365, SAP). Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of milestones and successful adoption of new processes and technologies.
* Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Implement tools for tracking progress, risks, and KPIs, providing consolidated dashboards and executive reports for senior leadership. Monitor project alignment with strategic objectives, financial targets, and the company’s AI governance framework.
* Financial Control: Monitor project budgets, forecast costs, and ensure accurate financial reporting. Support ROI analysis and post-implementation reviews, especially for digital and AI initiatives.
* Change Management & Communication: Drive change initiatives to support adoption of new processes, technologies, and AI solutions. Communicate project updates, strategic priorities, and AI governance principles across global teams. Promote a culture of responsible innovation, ensuring that enthusiasm for new technologies is channeled into structured, value-driven projects.
* Technology & Tools: Manage project management software and collaboration platforms, leveraging integration with Microsoft 365 and SAP. Promote digital solutions for project tracking, reporting, and knowledge sharing.
Qualifications
* Education: Master’s degree in Business Administration or another relevant field. Candidates with experience in business transformation or strategy-oriented roles are equally encouraged to apply. Familiarity with IT or digital projects can be a helpful asset.
* Experience: 8+ years in project management or PMO roles within multinational environments. Proven track record in managing both business transformation and/or IT system implementation projects, including digital and AI initiatives.
* Skills: Strong analytical and organizational skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. Ability to work in a multicultural, matrix organization. Familiarity with data security, privacy, and compliance requirements in digital projects.
