OverviewThis role focuses on the operation, security, and evolution of a complex datacenter network environment supporting business-critical services. It combines hands-on operational responsibility with the design and implementation of major infrastructure changes, including security hardening, datacenter migrations, and disaster recovery scenarios. The position requires deep expertise in application-centric networking and high-availability platforms.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate and maintain datacenter network systems, including monitoring, backups, and incident resolutionDesign, implement, and validate major network changes, new systems, and system decommissioningPlan and execute network migrations, including datacenter relocations and disaster recovery testingImplement and continuously improve application-centric security modelsManage logging, vendor coordination, and escalation of support cases with suppliersEnsure network stability, performance, and security across all managed environmentsWhat are we looking for?You have 5+ years of experience working as a Network Specialist in complex infrastructure environmentsYou bring 3+ years of hands-on experience with Cisco ACI datacenter technology, including configuration and application policiesYou have 3+ years of practical experience with Palo Alto next-generation firewallsYou possess 5+ years of experience with Cisco Catalyst (IOS) and Cisco Nexus (NX-OS), covering routing, switching, and securityYou have proven experience with logging, monitoring, and handling vendor support casesYou have hands-on experience with network infrastructure and system-level configuration related to networking technologiesYou are native Dutch at CEFR level C2Nice to HavesExperience with F5 BIG-IP load balancers and application delivery controller modulesExperience with Linux system administration and scripting (Bash, Python, Perl)Experience with enterprise storage system managementBroader exposure to LAN/WAN protocols, routing, switching, or network security beyond core requirementsWhat do we offer?Contract type: Open to both permanent employees and freelancers
