Amaris Consulting is seeking a hands-on Construction Site Manager to oversee daily operations at one of our client’s construction sites in the infrastructure or building sector. You will be responsible for the organization and coordination of all on-site activities, ensuring technical plans are executed correctly and efficiently. As the on-site point of contact, you will work closely with project managers, engineers, clients, and suppliers to deliver projects safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.
What You’ll Do
* Organize and coordinate daily site operations, including subcontractors, workers, deliveries, and materials.
* Ensure the correct and timely execution of technical plans and specifications.
* Monitor site progress, report deviations, and implement corrective actions when needed.
* Supervise and motivate construction teams to meet deadlines and safety targets.
* Maintain strict compliance with safety regulations (e.g., VCA) and conduct toolbox meetings.
* Act as the on-site point of contact for project managers, engineers, clients, and suppliers.
* Participate in site meetings, progress reporting, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
* Keep accurate site documentation: site diaries, checklists, delivery notes, measurements, and quality control logs.
* Coordinate inspections and ensure all quality and compliance standards are met before handover.
* Help manage logistics and ensure efficient resource usage (equipment, people, materials).
Your Profile
* Around 5 years of experience in construction site management or a similar role.
* Solid hands-on knowledge of construction methods, including structural work, concrete placement, steel assembly, foundations, formwork, roofing, insulation, and finishing techniques (depending on project type).
* Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
* Skilled in coordinating and sequencing construction tasks, managing daily schedules, deliveries, and subcontractors.
* Experienced in measuring and surveying using both traditional and digital tools.
* Strong understanding of construction materials and their on-site application.
* Excellent organizational and communication skills.
* Strong commitment to safety practices and compliance (VCA VOL or equivalent).
* Fluent in Dutch; good command of English.
* Available to work full-time on-site for the duration of the assignment.
