Our client is a leading chemical company based in Limburg, specialising in high-quality chemical products for various industrial applications. They are seeking an experienced Inventory Specialist to join their supply chain team on a 12-month freelance contract.
Role Overview:
The Inventory Specialist will be responsible for managing, tracking, and optimizing inventory levels to ensure smooth operations across the supply chain. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and experience in chemical inventory management.
Key Responsibilities:
* Monitor and manage stock levels of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.
* Perform regular inventory reconciliations and maintain accurate records.
* Collaborate with procurement, production, and logistics teams to forecast inventory needs.
* Identify slow-moving or obsolete stock and recommend corrective actions.
* Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and chemical storage regulations.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives to optimize inventory processes.
* Prepare reports and provide insights on inventory trends and performance metrics.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as an Inventory Specialist, preferably in the chemical industry.
* Strong understanding of supply chain processes and inventory management systems.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP experience is a plus).
* Attention to detail, organized, and proactive.
* Fluent in English; Dutch is an advantage.
