Your Team:
The SCADA Senior Expert Engineer will join the newly established GTS SCADA Management Squad, responsible for overseeing the Euroclear SCADA environment. This environment is critical for managing and monitoring Euroclear’s offices and data centers, covering three main domains: Physical Security (., CCTV, building access), building management systems (., heating, cooling), and IoT solutions (., smart lockers).
Currently, the Euroclear domain supports approximately 1,800 devices and 9 main applications, with rapid growth in recent years. These devices operate within a dedicated network zone (V14) to ensure isolation and security. Despite their importance, these systems have historically been undervalued, leading to repeated audit findings and identified weaknesses.
Unlike traditional IT, the SCADA domain manages industrial systems, and many suppliers lack the necessary IT and security expertise to meet Euroclear’s standards. There is also a growing demand to integrate SCADA devices with Euroclear IT systems (such as ServiceNow and access management).
The new Squad will drive the integration of Operational Technology (OT) landscapes with business IT, ensure compliance with Euroclear security controls (including TSB, secure images, vulnerability and access management), document processes and projects, and plan for future evolution.
Your role:
The SCADA Senior Expert Engineer will be responsible for the configuration and maintenance of the SCADA technical solutions (Building Management Systems and Physical Security), the development of the D2D management and SCF (Secure Control Framework) integration, the continuous technical evolution of the SCADA technical environment to cope with Euroclear IT standards.
Success in this position requires expertise in SCADA, OT infrastructure, IT integration and security, strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively to resolve technical issues.
Primary Duties:
1. Install, configure and maintain SCADA technical solutions (BMS and Physical Security). Hardware and Software
2. Manage the integration of the SCADA solutions (IT & OT) with the Euroclear processes: Vulnerability management, Certificate management, Access management, TSB creation
3. Ensure the technical evolution of the different solutions: implement supported versions
4. Review SCADA infrastructure with internal teams (Workplace Support, Corporate Security, CISO Architecture, and GTS Network) and SCADA Technical Lead engineer
5. Propose innovative solutions for “Smart Building” and “Office of the future
6. Automate and optimize SCADA operations
7. Develop integrated automation solutions
8. Provide on-call and weekend operational support
Qualifications- Required Knowledge & Skills:
9. Degree in Computer Science / Engineering Technology (Electronics or Computer Science)
10. Knowledge or Certifications in SCADA technologies (Building Management Systems and Physical Security) or other related disciplines is an asset
11. Basic knowledge of Network and IT security is an asset
12. Minimum 5 years of experience in the IT infrastructure field
13. Experience with OT environment management is an asset
14. Ability to work analytically in a problem-solving environment
15. Excellent customer service skills
16. Ability to learn new technologies and disciplines quickly
17. Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced team environment
18. Fluent in English (French and/or Dutch is a plus)
