The Nexans Network Solutions division, Euromold in Erembodegem, is part of the Accessories Business Unit and employs 350 people, including the Engineering Team responsible for “separable connectors,” one of their four major technologies. EUROMOLD is number one in Europe in the field of connectors but also offers innovative products such as compact connectors and jointing sleeves for wind turbines, on- and offshore switchgear, and smart measurement sensors. As a Product Engineer: You analyze project requirements and define suitable cable and connector solutions in accordance with IEC or other standards and customer specifications, mainly for wind energy applications. You provide and/or support detailed engineering, including cable sizing, routing, terminations, and interface with complete systems. You collaborate with fellow product engineers, product development teams, and subcontractors on product validation, qualification testing, and improvement programs. You are responsible for engineering documentation, such as drawings, datasheets, installation procedures, and test reports. You provide (mostly remote) technical guidance during installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting at customer sites or test facilities. You support the adoption of innovative cable and connector technologies by customers, certification bodies, and standardization committees, enabling new solutions to enter the market. You contribute to engineering studies, failure analyses, and lessons learned to ensure the reliability and continuous improvement of solutions within the Business Unit. You report to the Engineering & Innovation Manager. You hold a Master's degree in Electromechanical Engineering. You have at least 3 years of experience in product engineering within an industrial environment. You have an affinity with the industry; experience in the electrical sector is a plus.
