Trade Finance Supervisor
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Trade Finance Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for handling daily banking transactions in various departments, with a focus on the Trade Department.
Responsibilities:
1. Handling of daily banking transactions in various departments.
2. Interaction with banks, agents, brokers, and clients worldwide.
3. Scrutiny of trade documents.
4. Preparation of calculation sheets, discounting memorandums, SWIFT messages.
5. Scrutiny of swift messages.
6. Lodgment of export/import bills, opening of letters of credit/bank guarantees, lien marking, bill discounting, buyers' credits.
7. Follow-up of transactions.
8. Posting of transactions in Finacle and TIPlus.
9. Attending customer calls (personal/telephone calls).
10. Maintenance of data bases in MS Excel sheets.
11. Filing of papers and documents.
12. Handling of daily banking transactions in various departments (as per the need) in the Bank, especially Trade Finance.
13. Any other job/tasks entrusted by the Manager/Chief Executive Officer.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Negotiation, discounting & purchase of documentary credits
Bank guarantees
Rules & regulations regarding trade credits in Belgium
Banking operations
MS Excel, MS Word etc
Skills Needed:
Scrutiny of documents
Eye for details
Working on IT/technology related projects
Operating standard office equipment and using required software applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.

1. Attend meetings and contribute to team efforts by ensuring all relevant information is included in the outcomes.
2. Implement changes to standard procedures when required by specific situations and circumstances.
3. Use appropriate interpersonal styles and communicate effectively and professionally, both orally and in writing, with all organizational levels to accomplish objectives.
4. Explain or clarify financial information to all levels of management.
5. Organize, manage, and track multiple detailed tasks and assignments with frequently changing priorities in a fast-paced work environment.
6. Provide a high level of customer service.
7. Good inter-personnel abilities
8. Should be fluent in English and have basic knowledge of Dutch or French.
