Functieomschrijving Role Overview:
The Project Manager is responsible for leading and managing projects from initiation to completion, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to the specified requirements. This role involves coordinating cross-functional teams, communicating with stakeholders, and overseeing project resources to achieve project objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans, defining project scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines. Create work breakdown structures (WBS) and allocate resources accordingly. Identify and manage project risks
2. Team Leadership: Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams, providing guidance, direction, and support throughout the project lifecycle. Foster a collaborative team environment conducive to creativity and innovation
3. Stakeholder Management: Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure alignment of project objectives with organizational goals. Manage stakeholder expectations and provide regular project updates
4. Resource Management: Allocate resources efficiently, including personnel, budget, and materials. Monitor resource utilization and make adjustments as needed to optimize project performance
5. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop risk mitigation strategies. Proactively address issues that may impact project scope, schedule, or budget. Implement contingency plans as necessary
6. Quality Assurance: Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and adhere to project specifications. Conduct regular quality reviews and implement corrective actions as needed to maintain project quality
7. Budget Management: Monitor project budgets and expenditures, tracking costs and variances throughout the project lifecycle. Ensure projects are delivered within budget constraints and justify any deviations
8. Communication: Facilitate clear and timely communication among project team members, stakeholders, and other relevant parties. Prepare project status reports, presentations, and documentation as required
9. Change Management: Manage changes to project scope, schedule, or resources, assessing the impact on project objectives and stakeholders. Implement change control processes to document and track changes effectively
10. Closure and Evaluation: Lead project closure activities, including formal acceptance of deliverables, handover to operational teams, and post-project evaluation. Capture lessons learned and best practices for future projects
Profiel Qualifications and Skills
11. Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering) required; Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) preferred
12. Proven experience as a Project Manager, managing complex projects from initiation to completion
13. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders
14. Broad cross-industry experience and domain expertise – industrial manufacturing sector, intercompany, third-party distribution and branch retail operations experience an asset
15. Solid understanding of enterprise applications including ERP, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Distribution & Retail, Warehouse Management, CRM, Enterprise Content Management, Financial/Corporate Performance Management, BI & Analytics, EDI and E-commerce
16. Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a keen attention to detail
17. Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Project, ServiceNow, PPM Pro)
18. Solid understanding of project management methodologies and best practices
19. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment
20. Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilitie
